Local Innovators In local forums around the region, person after person shared the fact that their business - no matter the industry or size - is in a constant state of change. New ideas, products, services, and processes are keeping businesses and our region competitive in the global market. Our region has an abundance of innovative, leading edge companies in a variety of industry sectors. There are thousands of businesses that compete nationally and globally based on their unique specialization, ideas, and quality. A few are well known, but most are not. To emphasize the innovative assets of the region, The Regional Business Plan profiled a cross section of businesses of different sizes, from every part of the region, in a wide range of industry sectors. While these innovators represent only a small sample of the innovative businesses in our region, they serve as excellent examples of the types of businesses that will help lead the region to compete successfully in the coming decades.
